Create-A-Sim Problem after installing Cats and Dogs

Post by linadesu13 on Sat 11 Nov 2017, 09:16

Before copying Cats and Dogs into Sims 4 files,I moved the mods folder from Documents to my Desktop (I am using CC). After Installing, the game launched perfectly. So I exited the game to move my CCs back to the Mods folder. I opened the game after moving the CCs and when I went to Create-A-Sim,only the sim appeared. The traits, name, options isn't there. When I clicked the gallery, game options it didnt give any response.
Is this because of my CCs? How to fix this?

Jup, the problem is caused by cc. Just surf a bit and you will find pages and pages and pages of people complaining. Most script mods need to be fixed, lots of cc is broken, sofas do not work properly counters, some beds, the list is endless.

Backup your saves and your CC, remove said CC and play a fresh vanilla save until more CC is updated for 1.36. When you do put it back, do it slowly so you can see which CC is causing issues.

I remember Pets was similarly game-breaking in TS2 era too because of how much it changed (think about every bit of furniture needing to be made scratchable)

I had the same problem yesterday, and found that it was caused by a mod that put all the CAS objects in 4 columns (or 3) instead of the 2 columns. Do you have the same mod? If this is the problem, the creator of this mod launched a version which is compatible with cats & dogs and you can download it.

I hope I helped you.

Have a nice day!

I had the same problem and the same mod! I removed it but the game stays the same!  the game works fine without mods! any idea which mods might cause it?

Do you have any other mod that can alter the CAS layout or options? Maybe poses, or sliders or anything like that?

mattress/sofa/bed CC are still a little broken. Place the objects you're wanting outside, enter manage worlds and then re enter the lot. Everything you have placed down will appear and be moveable.

The more columns mod has been update to the latest game version. If you have any old versions remove them and replace with the newer ones! This also include UI Extensive cheat mod if you use it.

if you have the CAS mod to get more slots in the clothing/hair section, remove that mod. It's incompatible with Cats and Dogs! I had this problem when I installed the pack, and after i deleted that mod, my game is working perfectly Smile
