DLC installation

Post by speaker4thedead on Sat 25 Nov 2017, 05:58

Hello. My daughter wants to try the cats and dogs DLC before I buy it for her Christmas. Do I need to install all the DLC or would it be ok just to install cats and dogs? Also, the instructions are kind of vague. It says to download and install the DLC. How does this work? It seems as though it's another game. How do I make the DLC work with the cracked game?

We will be buying her the regular game and cats and dogs if she likes it. I want to get this installed for her, but I just don't get how to install the DLC. Just saying download it and install is leaving a lot out. It's like saying jump in the water and swim. There is quite a bit more to it that isn't directed. Some help would be fantastic.

I have the regular reloaded sims4. I have downloaded the games4theworld version as well. Do I need to uninstall the reloaded version while installing this one, or once I know how to install the DLC can I add it to the setup I already have?

Again , thank you for any help given.

Hi there,

Our installation is kinda literal in a sense that all you need to do is copy + paste the files from the DLCs to your Sims 4 base game. Only the base game need 'installing'.

Since most crack(version) are based on the Reloaded's version, you can install whatever DLCs you need on top of your installed game. Bear in mind though, if you only plan on playing the base game + Cats n Dogs, it's better to use ZLOrigin instead.

If not, then you need to follow the order of installation listed in the must read guide here. This also means that you can't skip any DLC and go straight to Cats n Dogs.

ZLOrigin does not offer the choice, it installs all DLC's.
You can't even switch out certain unwanted DLC's as there is no file RldOrigin.ini
When you delete a folder or an extension, next visit will add it again.

?? I thought for ZLOrigin you can choose which DLCs you want to install or skip some without installing everything?

Just as with the real Origin, everything you've bought will be installed.
So in ZLorigin, it is all or nothing.
The only solution when you use ZLOrigin is to add a Game folder from a cracked game (f.e. G4TW) and then exclude extensions via the file RldOrigin.ini and place semicolons in front of the 3 lines for each DLC.
