Sims 4 Crashes

Post by MommaB14 on Mon 27 Nov 2017, 03:46

I've had my sims 4 game for a while now and about a week ago I started getting the "Sims 4 has stopped working" message right after it froze so I downloaded the update, followed EVERY step and got the same thing. removed the mods and got the same thing. I'm not sure how to fix this. everything is updated

Hi there and sorry for the late reply.

For the folders:
You indeed will have TWO sims 4 folders, one under Documents(main) and the other your C Drive (main). The one under Documents will be - Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4. That's basically where your saves and mods are at.

The one at C:\Program Files OR (x86) is your Sims 4 installation folders. The two location should not be mixed together.

Currently, what is your latest installed DLC?

You should NOT have a Sims 4 folder under EA ion your C: drive. It was supposed to be moved out of there. Not COPY/PASTE, but CUT/PASTE to either your C: Program files or C: Program (x86) if you are running the 32 bit version of windows.
