Hi anadius! Noob here, I already have the base game and used to have the G4TW standalone patch for it. Downloaded your 1.42.30.1020 Full patch so I can download a few of the DLCs but I'm having issues opening the bin files, tried Daemon, Power ISO and WinBin but still no luck. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance! Smile

@larahbanana you need both .exe and .bin files. Just run the .exe. Wink

I'm not sure but I think Origin will remove DLCs you don't have. So you need to use crack.

Move game files to different directory so Origin doesn't remove anything, install DLCs using my installers, remove "Game" directory and download cracked one from http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t33144-the-sims-4-update-1-42-30-1020-out-now

And you should be good to go. Wink

Hello! First of all thank you for this heavenly download,

but is there any way to download them as torrents? I feel that is a much faster way. If not, that's cool.

I can make a torrent but I won't be able to seed it with my current internet speed.

I've been thinking about it but in that case you must seed some 27 seperate files.

Question: In the full patch 1.42.30.1020.ini file I'm missing the details for My First Pet. Or am I using an old, outdated, version ?

Not really. I could make a new torrent with every update. Just put base game, full patch and all DLCs in one torrent. You can choose what to download so there's no need to split them. With new patch you would have to re-check files and download new patch only. + separate torrents for each incremental patch.

@Tarac wrote:Question: In the full patch 1.42.30.1020.ini file I'm missing the details for My First Pet. Or am I using an old, outdated, version ?
I realised it's missing after uploading it. Next patch will have proper .ini. Or you can always download it from here (`resource/dlc-toggler.ini`; it's the same link as in the first post). Seasons are already included in that ini (but won't be visible until proper code is in codex.cfg) so I'm ready. Very Happy

See this here:

By using the "add directory" option, you can create torrents from folders. When you then open the magnet/.torrent you get a preview of the items, and by ticking the boxes in the preview you can choose what you want to download. Put the full patch and those individual installers into your folder, create a torrent, and there you go.

The problem I see now is, what do you do in future updates? Because if the full patch gets updated and/or new DLCs are released, you would need to create a completely fresh folder/torrent, and seed from scratch again. Or indeed, you provide individual torrents for the full patch and the other components...which in my opinion is a huge hassle, even if you have a fast internet.

As much as I am a fan of torrenting, this particular "format" is better suited for direct downloads, rather than a torrent.

And that would be the best solution. There is one huge downside: lots of people won't re-check old files and will re-download them instead... But I could set my torrent client to seed just the new patch and/or DLC so I think it's still a good option.

I have, more or less, a simular problem with my all-in torrents.
After each update or release of a new DLC I must compose a new torrent.
When you restrict the links to the torrent to just a few places, it's simple to overwrite the old links so new visitors always download the newest torrent.

As a test I just created a torrent - click HERE for torrent
Indeed, as @The_Gh0stm4n indicated, you can make a choice of the various DLC's

This is only a test, I will keep torrent running till sometime tomorrow as it is not yet on my 24/7 torrent-server.

Yeah, something like this. Very Happy Just four things:
  • don't pack installers into .iso files - they should be in the same format as direct download so people can replace file from torrent with downloaded mirror, re-check files and they're ready to seed,
  • include `dlc-installer.exe` to speed up DLC installation,
  • FP01 is missing,
  • hold on a bit - there is patch 1.43.14.1020 already, I'm just waiting for a crack.

I'm using .iso because you can mount an iso within a second whilst unpacking with Winrar takes very long.
When you mount or open the iso with Explorer you can copy the folder of a DLC to your install folder, no problem.

But as stated, this is a test only.

Re: DLC-installer, I'm not sure how to use it, so did not include it.

EDIT: Another problem (at least in my case) once I selected some DLC's and downloaded them, I can't get back to the original torrent and select some more.
I must remove torrent and apply torrent again to select more DLC's

EDIT: Stopped seeding, preparing for version 1.43.14.1020

It's a 'technicality' of torrenting, yes. If you only pick a few items in the torrent preview, and later on you decide to download more, you have to remove the torrent and then reload it.

Like I said earlier though, I think this particular format of items is better suited for direct downloads, rather than a torrent.

What are the criteria for the DLC-toggler ?
Since the latest update 1.43.14.1020 the toggler seems to be ineffective.

@Tarac DLC-toggler works with Reloaded or Codex cracks. It won't work with ZLOrigin. And as far as I know there is no crack for 1.43.14.1020.

I've updated all folders via ZLOrigin to version 1.43.14.1020  but replaced the Game folder with the cracked folder for 1.42.30.1020, except for Default.ini
My cracked game shows version 1.43.14.1020 in the opening page
The game itself works perfectly in that manner but the toggler won't

Just tried that. Made a copy of Game/Bin from ZLOrigin and copied there following files from previous crack: TS4.exe, TS4_x64.exe, OrangeEmu.dll, OrangeEmu64.dll, codex.cfg. The game launches and I was able to play but I don't recommend this solution. Did it just to test DLC-toggler and it works fine for me. Disabled DLCs are greyed out.

Realized what I did wrong.
In my installation-folder I have 4 Game-folders, Game, Game_Origin, Game_ZLOrigin and Game_cracked.
I forgot to rename Game_cracked to just Game.
Now the toggler works fine.

Small remark:
My native language is Dutch but when I play the game f.e. in French, the toggler still is in Dutch
