So Admin, if I'm following correctly, I install the base game normally (use the crack included with) and then any expansions I want (don't use any cracks). Then when I've installed all that, I use the manual patch, then apply the cracks?

Just making sure.

Hello,

You don't need the crack that's included with the base game.

Will applying it change anything? I've already applied it. The first time I installed G4TW The Sims 3, I applied the crack and everything was fine.

Hello,

No, nothing wrong with that.
Just continue with the instructions. The Ultimate Fix will fix it all in the end.

Ok, this is about the fourth time I've re-installed everything.

1. I applied the base game (with crack).
2. I installed all expansions (no cracks).
3. I applied the manual patch to 1.33 (it would install from 1.31 to 1.33) but it still gives me the CRC error.

Now I think I've found the problem. It says that the TSLHost.dll file doesn't match. Well, I don't have a TSLHost.dll file at all in Directory>The Sims 3>Game>Bin. I didn't touch the base game at all other than to put in the crack and it installed properly (4 times). What should I do?

Hello,

You shouldn't have cracked the base, but it's no problem.
Open the fix and look at the Base Game folder, copy both files to the base game\bin.
Now open the Showtime & Master Suite Stuff & Pets & Town Life Stuff & Generations folder and copy both files to the base game\bin. Note that any files that are there, should be overwritten so choose replace when prompted.
Now, execute the manual patch.
When the patch has finished installing, open the #crack folder in the fix and copy both files to the base game\bin, again replacing the ones that are already in there.

I'm still getting the CRC error and when I get the error, I abort it. I check back on the game/bin and the TSLHost.dll file is gone.

Hello,

Which antivirus software are you using? Some antivirus programs will quarantine the crack files.

Hello,

Ok your antivirus could be the problem, but I really can't help there, so please wait for Admin to rep-ly to this message.

Hey Lady ElDi, I've fixed it now. I re-installed everything but I didn't apply the crack in the base game. I'm not sure if that was the exact problem but it did solve my specific problem. Happily simming, thank you Admin and Lady ElDi!
