Sims 3 Late Night.[SOLVED]

Post by Bros96 on Sun 18 Mar 2012, 10:35

I have downloaded the Sims 3 Late Night from this site but when I go to mount the game to a virtual disk (like I did with a previous expansion pack I downloaded before) it won't let me. I'm not that good with with downloading things like games so I'd really appreciate some help. Thank you. Smile

Hello,

Ok well you don't need to mount it on a virtual drive, just apply the fix. It requires Generations, Pets, Town Life, Master Suite or Showtime, which is why I asked.
After applying the fix, you can start the game from the launcher, or by using TS3W.exe in the base game bin without the need to mount anything.

And sorry for this question...where do I apply the fix to? With Pets I applied it to its folder in program files but late night doesn't seem to have one?

Hello,

The crack is only applied to the base game bin, is your base game at patch level 1.33?

No it's at patch level 1.29. Should I patch it to the 1.33?

Hello,

That's probably a good idea yes, there's a manual patch here. Also make sure to get the latest fix, it was updated not long ago.

I have patched my game to the latest version and downloaded the fix. Where do I put the fix? The base game folder?

Hello,

Open the #crack folder and copy both files to the base game\bin.

Hello,

That's all, you should now be able to start the game from the launcher or TS3W.exe in the base game\bin.

It hasn't installed the Late Night expansion pack though? Like I went onto the launcher and I only have the base game and pets installed.

Hello,

And you did install it?
You can try reapplying the fix, though you don't have to do the update again obviously.

Hello,

Why doesn't it open? Do you get an error? If yes, what does it say?

Also, you did not mount the .rar file for Late Night, right?

I open the file the whole file Late Night file and then I try to open the set up file and I get a message like '>setupNew/setup.cpp (140) PAPP: PVENDOR: PGUID: S15.0.0.489 @Windows Vista Service Pack 0 (7600) IE Version: 9.0.8112.16421' and when I press ok Another message appears saying 'This program might not have installed correctly' and gives me the option to re install with recommended setting but that does nothing.
Yes I did not mount it as It did not give me the option to mount that file.

Hello,

Please open the .rar file you downloaded using only WinRar, which can be downloaded from www.games4theworld.org . (If you use any other software than WinRar, like WinZip or 7-zip, the files will get messed up!)
When
you've opened the file using WinRar, select áll the files in it and
drag & drop them to a folder on your Desktop. When the extraction is
done, close the .rar file and open the folder on your Desktop.
Now,
start by reading the included "# Installation Guide.txt" and you should
be able to get the game to work yourself. Good luck!
