PS4 Terrible news

Today I read about how the Consoles companies were getting more serious about not being able to buy used games for the ps4.

I think everyone should boycott game consoles and play pc games.

This is ridiculous. Sony will lose a lot of business if they go through with this because there are a lot of us out there who don't have internet on our consoles and who buy most of their games pre-owned. All in an attempt to stomp down on piracy? Good luck. There will always be piracy.

I only like that idea, so we can hopefully get rid of GameStop

I used to love GameStop, bring them a lot of business, gained friendships, etc. But I'll give you an example, Say you buy a 150 games that comes with some bonus content. The content is great and all, but worthless to some people, because some people just buy the most expensive edition just to have it. That's on them, but originally the game would be 60 bucks. 2-3 weeks after the game has launched and you have gotten every achievement and want to move on to a different game, you go down to GameStop to trade in towards a different game, but you come to find out that you're only getting 9 bucks store credit.

Another example would be the past lawsuit that happened in the state of California. To break it down, say you go to buy a copy of Battlefield 3 for Xbox 360, but you only have enough for a used copy. You purchase the game and go home to play on your LIVE account. When you begin loading up multiplayer, it asks you for your online pass code that comes with the game. You crack open the case and punch in the code, but it tells you that it has already been redeemed or is invalid, you go back down to GameStop and confront them with your problem and they prompt you to purchase the online pass from them for 15 bucks, you get pissed and rip out the cashier's neck and shove it down the manager's throat and begin turning green.

That is my problem with GameStop and there are also some personal problems with them, but their company is nothing but extortion. They buy a game from you for dirt cheap and sell it 3% below full price as used and content that should already come with the game at all times through cycles of people. We shouldn't have to pay more than what we already have to, in order to enjoy our games to the fullest extent.

Ahh, I see. You definitely have some good points.

I don't have it so hard a GameStop, maybe because I know the people that work there. Anyways, I agree this is a terrible idea. On the other hand, I want to keep up with games that aren't on PC. I want GameStop to stay, because they still sell stuff for older gen consoles and if they go out of business there won't really be a major place to get games. I just hope this doesn't happen.

Just think this is the beginning and not Only Sony is doing this But Xbox is looking to do this also with their next Gen system. I have said it before we shall soon see a new paradime in gaming really soon making some of you folks system just about unplayable. That is why systems were in my life at a younger age but now? You'd have to shoot my way for me to even remotely think about consoles PC's are next Sad to say.
