Hello,

When you copy the files from the Fix, be sure that the launcher and game are completely closed. (So also from the system tray, next to your clock)

Okay so which one do I exactly use the crack or the showtime etc one either way once I copy them I lose the access of playing because i had to replace in the sims 3 ts3host and tsw to play showtime because like before it's a torrent so this is where im confused how to do all this, and my files are origin games.

Hello,

You have to use the files that are included with the Ultimate Fix.
Read the included "# Installation Guide.pdf" on where exactly to put which files.
With "origin" you mean that they are original games or that you downloaded them via "Origin"?

Re: sims 3 network error

Post by BrittanyAnnabell on Wed 04 Apr 2012, 21:34

I bought the games off of Origin yes. and when i read the guide it said put in the sims 3 game bin and i did and replaced it which lost my ability to play,

//EDIT

See im confused with steps 10-14 if u have those games which i do but
when it says replace those in sims 3/game/bin it replaces my way to play
showtime cause i had to put a crack into that same folder so i can play
without a CD.

//EDIT

The Sims 3 showtime still wont
update i did the manual one and when i click update it says new store
update and then i clicked yes and when i hit updates again it was there
over and over it's like it won't update :/// ughh i really wanna play so
much

Hello,

The store update isn't needed. What's your base game version now?

If you follow the entire fix's Installation Guide, you'll have a cracked game, so that your current crack is replaced is ok, its needed actually.

It's still 1.33 but when im logged into the store im on but when i wanna send simport it says that network error. im just getting confused on the steps 10-14 because im also on a netbook and ive done a pretty good job getting as much sims on here as i could. When i use the crack from the fix it does replace the "crack" i had to actually play showtime. that's my whole confusing.. where does it go in the same spot. but then i lose how to play when the cracks get changed

Hello,

Which crack were you using before? Because a crack is only compatible with 1 game version so when you update your game, you should also get an updated crack.
If you're unable to play with the crack from the fix, something went wrong when you applied it. Would you mind showing a screenshot of the folder you copied it to, preferably one that shows not only the path to the folder but also all of the file types, date modified, size etc. a "detailed" view.
If you get a network error with Simport, perhaps your firewall is blocking The Sims 3, or EA's servers are out.

Re: sims 3 network error

The crack I'm using now is the crack that lets me play Sims 3 Showtime. I got it offline as a torrent followed instructions and no more saying "need CD" but When I read the fix, it said place it in sims 3 and im like well if i put that in sims 3/game/bin it automatically takes away my crack for me to play the Showtime torrent that I got do you get it? and yes it's a network error ive been dealing with and a game that is updated but keeps saying it's not.

The fix has a crack in it, so you don't need the other one. If you follow the instructions, you shouldn't have any problem with playing without a cd.

Hello,

Well that's weird because the crack in the fix works for everyone. The crack you're using now isn't going to work forever, when a new expansion comes out, it won't work anymore.
I suspect that you're not copying the right files. Can you show a screenshot of the folder you think holds the crack in the fix, and one of where you copy it to?

Hello,

The original games would still have to be cracked because the cracked Showtime overrides the TS3W.exe and TSLHost.dll in the base game bin. Regardless of whether its a physical disc or an Origin download.
You can post a link by adding a few spaces next to the dots, and we'll fix the link.
Or you can attach an image by using the "post reply" button at the bottom of this thread and you can find the option to attach under Preview&Send.

Hello,

Ok try this:
Take TS3EP06.ex_, TS3W (2) and TSLHost (2).dll and drag and drop them on your desktop for now.
Open the fix and in the fix, open the #crack folder and copy both the files in there to this folder, and allow them to replace the TS3W.exe and TSLHost.dll that are there.
After they've been copied, doublecheck that the date modified on both files in the bin is now 3/16/2012.
Now try to start your game.

Hello,

I've never seen this happen before.
How about your Showtime version, you say it's a torrented one, but not G4TW, it's not modified in any way is it?
