Hello,

Did you start using any other mods/cc around that time or just store updates?
The downloadsfolder is just a storagefolder for the launcher, files in there can't cause problems with your game.

Hello,

Try this, just to be sure:

1. Go to Documents\Electronic Arts\.
2. You'll see a folder called "The Sims 3". Drag & drop this folder to your Desktop and remove it from your Documents folder.
3. Start the game and see if it works now.

Please let us know the result. Good luck!

thanx Admin for the reply....

after the post above yours, i went and got the latest master controller and the cheats to go with it( had the version before the latest) installed them and took out the " nobuildsparkle" one......

soo far soo good......... works fine now.

could it have been the master controller not being the latest???

or the no sparkle???

thank you all

Hello,

Yes, out-dated Mods are often a problem.
Always be sure that your Mods are up-to-date. Especially when a new game version is released and you update your game.
I doubt it was the no-sparkle, but you never know.

Anything else we could help you with at the moment?

Hello,

With master controller and other mods from that site, you can be sure you need to download a new version when a patch comes out. The no build sparkles mod, not so much lol.
Don't hesitate to post if you have questions or problems again.
Happy simming The Sims Plumbob 1 topic closed.
