The Sims 3 Crashing

Post by levimcn2 on Fri 20 Apr 2012, 04:00

Hi, my game keeps crashing after I try a create a new neighborhood and I've install the fix and followed all the instruction correctly, and added all my .exe files to the DEP.

First, I open my launcher and start the game. Note the base game version.

Then my game launches, and goes through the opening sequence, then the loading screen comes up, and this is all I can see as it loads.

The up comes the screen where I create a new neighborhood, etc. And I can't see any of the writing on the user interface.

Then it goes to the neighborhood creation loading screen, and crashes about 10-15 seconds in loading.

I've tried everything, and I don't know what seems to work. My Sims 3 is torrented and worked fine, and I've had these problems as soon as it comes to expansion packs. (I'd buy the games, but right now I simply can't afford it.)

Hello,

We have seen this before, but I forgot what was done to solve it. So lets just start from scratch.
Do you have the latest fix?

Hello,

Do you have mods/cc?
Are all your drivers, specifically your graphics drivers, up to date?

Nope, I haven't downloaded everything and have no custom content. All my drivers are up to date.

Hello,

Ok, try this:
Go to My Documents\Electronic arts and drag and drop the entire The Sims 3 folder to your desktop.
Start the game (a new folder is generated) and see if it looks normal.
If it does, you can copy your saves and downloads folder from the old The Sims 3 folder to the new one.
If you had store updates (sims3pack) you'll have to reinstall them with the launcher.

Hello,

I'm not sure what to tell you next. My most obvious suggestion would be reinstalling, but perhaps Admin has a better idea so I recommend waiting for his reply.

I will do that. I'm thinking possibly it may fix if I install all the expansion and stuff packs. I'll wait for his reply also. Thanks for the help.

Hello,

Yes, I remember this problem.
Please do as following to fix this error:

1. Completely uninstall the base game using Your Uninstaller! Pro, which can be downloaded from www.games4theworld.org .
2. Restart your PC.
3. Install The Sims 3 and all expansions you like, but install AT LEAST one of the following expansions: Showtime, Master Suite Stuff, Pets, Town Life Stuff, Generations.*
4. After you installed all the games you want, download and apply this manual patch: http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v133-fix-manual-patch
5. When it finished updating your game to the latest version, re-download the latest version of our Ultimate Fix: http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems
6. Open the "# Crack" folder in the Fix and drag & drop the .exe and .dll file in there to: C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist in that folder.
7. Start the game and... ENJOY playing!
