Hello,

Please go to your computer's software list and remove ALL ATI related drivers.
After that, restart your PC and then download and install this update: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonaiw_vista32.aspx

When the driver finished updating, restart your PC again. Then test the game and let us know the result. Good luck!

Hello I have this same problom running the sims 3 base game on my Hp Pavillion Dv2000...its a recycled computer but i have found that the computer shuts down when its overheated. In my case thus particular laptop was recalled and a lawsuit filled, but i am going to have it fixed this week and its a very simple fix i just have warranty so i figure i will get it fixed from the pros Smile

Could this be your prob? If it's a laptop are you using it in bed or on the couch...only because i learned that you need to keep the vents open so it doesnt overheat.

Obviously you would know if it was overheating because it will get hot and the fan will go berzerk, however if there is no fan noise that could mean you got a defectuve fan....

anyway just throwing it out there that it could be the same issue i'm having Smile good luck!
