Error during start-up.. Please help me... [SOLVED]

Hi there~

I've already read the manual (Installation Guide.pdf) and install the game.. but, i stuck at no.11.. (have re-install so many time)

I've already tried so many ways (by other suggestion+Forum+video) but, still can't play.

But, now, i've follow the instruction given.. before this, i just can play the base sims 3 only.. (because i can't install the other expansion)

so, i un-install Sims 3, n re-install Base sims 3, straight away install the sims 3 late night and the sims 3 generation.

after, i've replace the file (step 10), i open the sims launcher. but, once i click, it says "There was an error during startup. Please see the log for detail"

And i just can click "Ok" and it disappeared.
Even i just install the sims 3 and world adventure, it still says "There was an error..."
Is it because i've re-install it so many times??

So how? Do i need to use "THIS" manual patch??

It's been more than a week.. I feel sooooo frustrated rite now.. T___T

Hello,

This error could be caused by left-over registry entries. Have a look at this video to help you clear the registry. After that, you should be able to reinstall your expansions.
After that, using the manual patch and the fix should be enough to allow you to play the game.

Hi~

Thank you soo much!! It's work!! I can play it now.. Hammertime

One last question.. If now i have expansion until Pets. and maybe later i want to install Show Time, so do i need to just copy can replace show Time fix only? or i need to update again by simslauncher?

Hello,

Glad to hear it works now!
If you want to add new expansions, just install them. If it works, don't fix what isn't broken.
If it didn't work, please re-do from step 3: http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

Your game should work fine afterwards.

I have installed the Show Time and i can play it!!

Ok..

one last question.. My sims rite now, so far doesn't have any problem..

but,
my brother (his own Pc), when he's playing, sims is always return to
desktop.. which the games still in tabs.. does it mean that it just one
of the software (not related to the sims games) need to update.. rite??
hehehe

while, my sister (her own pc) still in installation
process, when i want to refresh to get the update in launcher, it said
"Invalid file". so, i just download the update that put the link
earlier.. but, when i click open (or run as administration) it said,
something abour "Region".. Do i have install it incorrectly?

And for your sisters problem; try changing the SKU code in the Registry to 2.
