"Please see the log for more details" error after manually patching to version 1.34

Hi there,

I just reinstalled my base game and tested the unpatched version after the install, but when I manually patched it to version 1.34 (using the copy I downloaded from brothersoft, because the one from the official link kept on crashing during the download progress), the ".....please see the log for more details" that happens when you open the Launcher happens, and when I try to run the game through the .exe file, the "unable to start game, service authoritization failed" error occurred.
What should I do? When I uninstalled the game, I did the whole deleting the leftover registry keys thing too using regedit (the instructions I got from this link from simswiki). I want to use the ultimate fix, that's why I wanted to test the manual patching first. However, previously, when I patched to version 1.34 using the launcher, the game ran perfectly.
So, should I just reinstall the base game with all the expansion I want to install and then patch using the Launcher?

no i did not move any folders to a new location...i installed the game at the default location

btw, i have watched that video before...but the folders and entries
shown are missing, so i assumed that the installer did its job fine

Yes i have te exact same problem but the only difference is that i have pets installed too ! :/

To Admin,

I just downloaded the patch from the official link (but it didn't crash this time!), so all is well...
I just wanna ask, can I install other expansion packs after I've applied the Ultimate Fix and the crack?
I've installed the Base Game and Generations so far, just to test if everything works fine, and yes, thankfully, they do.

Hello,

You can install all the expansions you want. After you finish, test your game. If it works, yay! If it doesn't, all you have to do is reapply the crack from the fix.
