that might be the issue then.. try using the ultimate fix listed by g4 to see if it works.

i find it strange that your launcher version is 0.0.0.0

Re: Unable to start game

I'm having the same problem - I've attempted uninstalling Lucky Palms (deleting all related files, checked the registry etc) but the launcher is still showing the same error. I also did a system restore which hasn't had any effect, so I'm assuming the issue lies somewhere within my EA documents folder (as system restore doesn't touch these files)?

I encountered this problem when attempting to install the deluxe edition of Lucky Palms, my game and all expansion packs were working perfectly up until that point (I have all packs installed apart from world adventures, garden stuff and Katy Perry). All of my games were downloaded from this site. I have attempted the ultimate fix but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

Should I try reinstalling everything?

ETA: I followed the steps listed here on Mod the Sims (/wiki.php?title=Game%20Help:Sims%203%20Game%20Problem) and now my game seems to be working again Smile Turns out I needed to delete a CC cache file in order to completely wipe Lucky Palms from my game. Hope that helps OP!

Hello,

Indeed, clearing the caches is needed when you want to uninstall a world. It's done like this.

Hello,

The Sims medieval too? That's weird. Since the games are completely unrelated.
Makes me wonder if it's something else. Did you recently start using new software.
Was your sims 3 patched to the latest version, 1.34?

Hello,

I'm baffled really. At this point I'd reinstall Medieval (because it's quicker), to see if that helps at all.

It shouldn't, as long as all of the games are installed in the same spot. If they're in different spots, then the game isn't going to recognize all of them, and it'll basically get confused.

Hello,

I agree. I have all my games on the D drive because there's no room on C. I never had any problems.
Did you at any point move folders around on the drive that has your games? Because that would be the only thing I can think of that makes your game stop working.

Hello,

It's a little weird, but if reinstalling fixes this problem, I'd just do that.
