Sims 3 Launcher Help

Post by ImJustMikeyG on Sun 22 Jul 2012, 22:36

Hello! I have downloaded all the Sims games off of your website and once it finished i went to mount the Sims 3 base game into DAEMON tools. it mounted fine but, when i went to open it, the windows diagnostics came up and stated "sims3 launcher has stopped working" and after that nothing. So i downloaded PowerISO same result. And, i did extract the Sims 3 Base folder to the desktop. Any help would be appreciated! thank you so much!

You don't need to mount with daemon tools or anything. Just install directly from the folders and crack according to the directions. It should work fine.

It says so in the Installation instructions:

"1. Mount* or Burn the 'The_Sims_3_StartDisk.ISO'.
2. Do the same with the 'The_Sims_3_Disk_1.ISO'
3. Now start the StartDisk you just Mounted. (NOTE: In 'My Computer' or 'Computer' this .ISO is
called 'SIMS3')"

Wouldn't you have to mount to be able to run the CD anyway?

Are you sure it came from this site? I didn't get an ISO in my downloads. Just the installation folders. If the torrent came from The Pirate Bay it needed to be from this user

Hmmm, well I'm confused. I got all my expansions and stuff packs from games4theworld torrents on TPB and no ISO's. I legally owned the base game so I didn't download it. So it might be an ISO.

Yup, that must be it because, i just looked in the expansions folders and no ISO's so, it is just for the base game. Thanks for the help though! at least i know the expansions will work once i get this base game running.

The game needs to be installed for me to be able to do that. I can't even get the installer to open since the launcher keeps crashing.

//EDIT

I'm going to try re-downloading it, then ill see what happens from there

Hello,

The base game does have 2 ISO's yes.
Did you extract the original file with winRAR before you started the installation?

Hello,

It could be an outdated crack, so make sure you have the latest fix.
It can also be an outdated mod.

Hello,

Can you show a detailed screenshot of the folder please?
And, may I assume it asks for Diesel Stuff?
