"There was an error during startup, please see the log for more details" So much rage.[SOLVED]

Alright, so a couple of months ago my Sims launcher started displaying the above message whenever I tried to start it. Being the busy bee I was, I attempted a quick fix by uninstalling and reinstalling my games onto the second of two "Local Disk Drives" on my laptop (D:). This, sadly, didn't work, so I gave up and haven't played it since. I'm now less of a busy bee, so I dedicated the whole day today trying to find the source of the error message.
So, here's what I have done today!
- Uninstalled/reinstalled the base game again
- Manually installed the most recent patch from the Sims 3 website
- Deleted leftover files using regedit
- Reinstalled a couple of my expansions (Purchased and Downloaded)
- Checked that all my drivers were up to date, the usual closing background tasks and such that EA tells you to do but never works
- Moved the D:My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 folder to my Desktop and tried to launch it from there, also tried starting the game manually, without the Launcher
- Someone on thesims3.com forum suggested I remove the resource.cfg file then uninstall/reinstall my purchased game.

None of it worked. I've been relentlessly searching around for an alternative solution but I don't think I can find one. My next step was going to be uninstalling it all and just downloading a new base game from you guys.
So, I'm literally on my knees (Well, you wouldn't know), does anyone have a solution? Insert epic sadface.

Hello,

When you uninstalled&reinstalled, did you restart the pc at any point?

Hello,

Ok, how about the folder in your Documents, did you replace it when you uninstalled&reinstalled? There could be left over caches if you didn't.
When you bypass the launcher, are you getting a specific error code?

Yeah I did do that.
The message is "Unable to start game, Service initialization failed (0x0175dcbb)

Hello,

That error is normal when you try to bypass with a "Error during startup."
Did you rename, remove or move any of the files or folders in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\ in any way?

I uninstalled all of them again, and reinstalled on C: just in case that
was the problem, same thing occurred. I'll be downloading your version
of the base game tomorrow, see if that works!

Hello,

It's a registry error, so something about the registry isn't right. After you uninstall, make sure you restart the pc and clear the registry. Manually if you have to.

That's why I asked, because some (modified?) base games do tend to mess with the Registry, as I discovered via TeamViewer a few days ago.

ALRIGHT! /Deep breath
I uninstalled everything, deleted any sim related files and used regedit again, reinstalled them all and applied the crack for Katy Perry's sweet treats.
Laucher - check,
Game starts - check,

Freezes at the end of the load screen. :C
Also, as I open the actual game it has a 'unofficial game modification' warning that advises me to uninstall these game modifications or get updated versions of them. Thought this might be relevant.
