Hello,

What kind of surface is your laptop on? What about graphics, may we assume you have an integrated graphics card? if you do, you'll have to keep in mind that it's not for gaming, try lowering all of the in game video quality settings and turning off effects like mirror reflections.

I don't have a laptop. It's a desktop computer.
My graphic card: Intel (R) G45/G43 Express Chipset

Before I added the expansions, I actually played the base game for quite a while and never had a problem. It's only since I added the expansions that it crashes. Like, the game works fine and all the expansions work... but then it randomly crashes once in a while if it loads to go to town, or etc.
It doesn't always crash though... just sometimes.

Hello,

Intel express chipset? Sounds like an integrated GPU.
Hmmm... what's your PC brand and model?

Is it only in one save, or is it any of them?

You can try updating your chipset drivers at the Acer support site HERE

The Sims3 Expansions and Stuff Packs requie a lot of GPU resources to run right and most integrated GPUs on budget systems like Acer don't do well at all.

You may have to spend a little bit of money and get a better graphics card in order to run the game without crashing. Wal-Mart.com has a very good graphics card, AMD Radeon Sapphire, for $40.00 that runs the Sims3 as smooth as a baby's butt, even at higher graphics settings.
