Resolution changes

Post by mrsmoura on Wed 29 Aug 2012, 19:27

Hello again,

As the title says, everytime that i turn off the game and the computer, and i start it again, the resolution (and the other configurations) change and i have to change it again and restart the game (when i change it ask me to restart or the game could not work well).

If i close the game and open it again (without turn off the computar) the resolutions keeps the same, so it only happens when i turn off the computer.

Any chance to keep always the same configurations, even when i turn off the computer?

Thank you and sorry for my english.

What OS are you running? XP, Vista, 7?

Also what monitor are you using? Some monitors automatically revert to preset resolutions when the system restarts.

//MOVED

Hello,

If that's the case, you could probably try this:

Go to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 and find a textfile called DeviceConfig and make a backup of it. Just copy it to anywhere you like. Before you start the game, copy the backup file to the folder you took it from.
