Re: The Sims 3 APPCRASH

Post by twikk on Sat 08 Sep 2012, 13:33

Thanks for the program. I liked it! I tried yesterday to play at 1024x768 game worked well, having played two hours, I was tired. Today I tried to set my monitor resolution of 1280x1024, and get to play 1 hour, 30 minutes, after which the game was closed in error. So today, I'll try again to play at a resolution of 1024x768, later reported the results. Very Happy

//EDIT

I tried to play the game and resolution 1027x768 worked 2 hours 10
minutes. Maybe the game would have worked longer, but before that I had
an error 12, after the 5 minutes have passed and the game closes with an
error. What do you think, why play at a resolution 1027x768 game runs
longer than the resolution of my monitor? Do you think game crashes due
to an error 12?

Thanks for the link. The Sims 3 plumbob

Can you find the answers to 3 questions

1. Could it be that the game crashes due to the use of my monitor resolution of 1280x1024, and if you set the game resolution 1024x768 then the game is stable?

2. Error 12, could crash the game or not?

3. Can the program game booster, optimize the game so that it would not close with an error?

Thanks for the answers! Very Happy

Hello,

You're welcome!

1. You should experiment with that, I can't directly tell whether that's the cause and how it's caused. The Sims 3 can be a weird game now and then.
2. I'm afraid I don't know much about those error, so I'll leave that one for Lady ElDi to reply to.
3. If you mean the Code 12 error, you should read the link I sent in my previous post first. GameBooster does boost overall game performance, definitely!

Re: The Sims 3 APPCRASH

Post by invalidusername on Sun 09 Sep 2012, 03:05

Error 12 is actually a corrupt save data error, and I've personally never experienced crashing with it, although it is terribly annoying. That error is actually just telling you that, for some reason, it can't save your game.

And though game booster will definitely help with overall performance, it doesn't effect the saves in any way, so it wouldn't be able to help with error 12. There are, however, a couple of mods that have been created that could help, if you wanted to try that route. Smile
