Hello,

The Moon Cycle problem seems to be an EA bug.

so it means we have to wait for some official patch for fixing that? Cause I have the same problem with zombies and moon and it makes the game not such fun hah

Make sure that, if you are using any mods, they are updated to work with the 1.38 patch. Then go to Options, click on the Lunar phase tab and make sure that the first option is checked controlling lunar phase length, if the second option is checked the moon phase is locked and doesn't circulate.

Yes I checked the mods and I'm sure that now I have everything updated and the lunar cycle is set to work, but it works all wrong .. the phases are changing but the zombies are coming all the time in the daytime etc well and there is something wrong with the phases, I think it does not work when I try to change the lenght of the lunar cycle, it all stays the same after all while not working properly in same time with zombies..

They posted this on the sims 3 site earlier today via a Blog:

Creating the world you want to play (General Cheat)

Want to
get rid of all zombies- this is one way to do it. Here is a cheat to
control your supernatural population by adding or removing
supernaturals. First open cheat mode by holding CTRL+SHIFT+C and type
"testingcheatsenabled true" Now go to the mailbox on your lot and shift
click which will bring up some cheat options for your game. Select
"Supernatural Population Control" and this will bring up the option to
either add or remove supernatural Sims into your game. Add Supernatural
will bring up the type of supernatural you want to add and turn 2 Sims
in the world to this supernatural type except for the Sims in your
household. The Remove Supernatural works the same way except it will
remove all of the supernatural types you selected from the world except
if you have that supernatural type in your household.

I hope it helps.

You can do the same thing from the options dialog. As a matter of fact, several people have unchecked Zombies under the Options/Population Control tab, saved the game and restarted, then re-checked the Zombies and it has fixed the over-zombification problem.

Another fix is to uncheck Witches and Zombies, save, restart and recheck them both. It seems that, in some games, the NPC witches were creating zombies at the rate of 5 per witch per Sim day.
