Basic Question, I suppose...

Post by Mewberry Cake on Thu 13 Sep 2012, 06:58

I've searched the archives, but couldn't find anything relevant to my issue.

I know the problem is bad CC, but is it possible for only 1 save to be affected by it? Thus far, my game doesn't crash in-game except in one specific save. It usually crashes pretty quickly if its going to, and that's been the only save I noticed it in. Sometimes I manage a little bit of playthrough before it crashes to the desktop, but usually its just a few minutes in before it tanks.

Another question to that is, I think I found the bad CC and removed it (I believe it was a pre-made downloaded family from ModtheSims) but the family members are still in the crashy world (which is still crashy sans them in my installed content per the launcher) even after proper removal. Do I have to manually remove them, or is that save just effectively borked?

Check your saves folder, and see if any of your saves have a .bad extension after their names. If they do, rename, or back up that save, delete it, and rename the .backup one to .sims3
