No file regeneration

Post by mackeemac on Sun 16 Sep 2012, 01:01

After I installed Supernatural (legitimate) my cache files and thumbnails no longer regenerate after I deleted them, my cc doesn't show up, no files are in dcbackup and 10 gigs of hard drive disappeared. I used the ultimate fix for mac, reinstalled disc, manually patched (launcher won't update) and games crashes in CAS while trying to make a sim. Any suggestions?

//EDIT

I stumbled upon this - my sims 3 game generated a file %USERPROFILE%
with all game content installed. It has everything except mod folder and
when I tried to launch TS3E exe. the wine app says theres an error. I
don't know how or where the wine app came from but its to install
windows programs on a mac. thoroughly confused.

I'm not familiar with Mac's, and not sure what to do.

But are you using .exe or .dmg? since .dmg files are for macs.
So here is a link to another topic that might help out more. http://games4theworld.bestgoo.com/t4615-running-exe-files-on-mac-to-run-expansions-installation

(was really the first thing google showed after I typed in "make a .dmg out of a .exe")

But if you need more assistance probably will be a bit before anyone else can help.

(P.S. I have no idea if you do have stuff setup correctly and stuff, nor know how to have it setup correctly.)

Hello,

I don't know much about Mac at all, can handle the minor errors, but this doesn't seem minor. Admin may know what to do.
