Moving In Sim Problem?

Post by azntyper on Tue 25 Sep 2012, 17:28

I'm not sure what I've done wrong but I've managed to reset my game around 6 times to try get her future husband to move in with her, I've tried the following methods:

Testing Cheats Enabled (My Cursor has a red cross/circle)
Merge Household (Stuck at Processing Screen after pressing the OK/tick)
Split Up Household (Stuck at Processing Screen after pressing the OK/tick)
Friendly Interaction (Stuck at Processing Screen after pressing the OK/tick)
Private Marriage (Stuck at Processing Screen after pressing the OK/tick)

I've tried breaking them up and tried her marrying another man but I still have to same problem.
However when I accidently killed her husband by dragging his hunger bar down, and I didnt have any deathfish, I decided to sell his grave but when I went to get her to date different men, there is the 'Confess To Cheating' Interaction, even though he is dead and she can get engaged.

Any help?

Hello,

I'm not good with in-game stuff, but they might be still "married".
Try using the Testing Cheats Enabled (Even though your mouse is a red circle, I'm sure you can still click) and drag down their relationship bar.

Hello,

You could do that to see if the problem is limited to this household.
Are you using any mods at all?

MODs and CC isn't the same thing though

MOD are Modification:
Meaning changning something in the gameplay - as I understand it.

CC are Custom Content:
Things like funiture, counters, deco ect.ect made by others and therefore not included in expansion or extra packages from EA

I would recomment that you orginise your downloaded stuff and check everthing, looking to see if they are compatible with the newest patch and each other MODs, if they are not, they properbly causes an error in gameplay like you are having.

Some MODs don't work well together, be cause they are modificering the same thing and can therefor cause problems.

Hello,

You first want to start with removing everything. Back them up first, of course.
Temporary get rid of all your Mods and CC!

I havent deleted my mods or CC as I decided to start a new family in a new neighbourhood, only to find out that after choosing a family and a house to live in, my game just stays at the processing screen, and if you say I am inpaitiant, ive waited 45 minutes before I got pissed off.. >.<

I would recommend at least using Delpy's dashboard to check your cc, because, occasionally, even objects can conflict or become outdated with a new patch or expansion.

Then, if removing your mods does help your game, I would also use the dashboard to run through the folder where you backed your mods up to. It may help with something else that you didn't even know was happening, or it could potentially solve this. But we'll work on that when we get to that point.

Thanks for your help!
I pulled out the mods in my mod folder and didn't pull out the objects as that would just cause havock in my Save as I think i now need to go to every lot and replace objects.

But atleaste thats better than starting a new game!

Thanks!

Hello,

I think they are either automatically removed or replaced.
What about the game, how does it run at the moment?

First, I couldnt open the sim panel, so I went and found a soloution about updating the Memories mod, and that seemed to do the trick. Everything's running smoothly apart from the fact that I did the 'Have Private Wedding' which was a bit sad as I turned the Lot in Bridgeport, the country club type one, into a full on wedding venue, gym, diner and sleep venue. Only thing I need to make it a full on Country club/hotel is a WA but I cant be asked to download it lol. Anyway thanks Smile
