Elder Scroll IV : Skyrim | Dawnguard | Hearthfire

Post by Drazard on Tue 25 Sep 2012, 21:01

Elder Scroll IV : Skyrim

Probably the best MMORPG I've ever played, you've got too many task to perform, the design "WOW!" the atmosphere, the Graphics damn ! it just too good I can't even explain how good is skyrim. Very Realistic

What kind of person are you in skyrim?
Cool Act Like a BOSS Cool , Instead of running in dungeon I prefer walking then slashing them one by one like any action movie LMAO, I like more challenging so I played skyrim in "MASTER MODE DIFFICULTY"

GOOD : Some of the ending mission was depend on you also the reward was depend on the outcome of your mission. In Elder Scroll Skyrim You can kill NPC and worst part that I like is when you kill a merchant "SAD TO SAY" goodbye buy and sell, also killing Quest NPC is worst part also cause how come you can take the quest if the NPC died? and also the Dragon can kill NPC not only you so even doe you didn't kill the NPC they can still die because of the Dragon Attack LMAO

I like the Dragon cause the Dragon can Attack any town which is good and more realistic another thing I like about the dragon is their attack, one time I saw the Dragon masticating an NPC LMAO HAHAHAHAHAHHA and worst part, the Dragon masticate me also and I died LMAO cause my game mode difficulty is Master LMAO. Also there are assassins that will try to kill you like if you killed some NPC some friend or spouse of the NPC that you killed will hire an assassins for revenge, you will see the Note after you kill all the assassins.

Damn the Guards in skyrim they are awesome, they can put you in the jail if they caught you pick pocketing or stealing inside the house or being a trespasser in the house and also killing NPC ofcourse just like GTA, also lockpicking the door and the private chest LMAO

I like the Downloadable Content of Skyrim where you can put Mod like sims, Damn I can't discuss the DLC of Skyrim because it will take so long, just like sims the more you put MOD the more your Sims will get better if you know what I mean.

I want to discuss more cause there are lots of things to say about skyrim believe me but I think its too much so I stop the good thing here.

BAD : Too many Bug Issues, sometimes your partner is burden in your way and the worst part you accidentally kill her *Facepalm*. The lever thing it is so hard to find the lever to open the gate they always hiding it where you almost can't even see. I'm dissapointed cause the Dragonborn/YOU can't be a king only a hero. The guard doesn't respect even you are a thane or hero of the world already but thanks to the MOD the guards now respecting me LMAO

Suggestion : I wish that every fighting scene was like Assassins creed more on cinematic it could be more awesome, cause I enjoy playing Skyrim when the Dragonborn using a finishing move not a normal slash looks cool to me. When Asking any bard to sing, they always stop for 1 - 2 seconds in every sentences plus I want more song the bard has such wonderful voice boys or girls sounds good to my ears. I wish the Dragonborn become the king of all towns cause he deserves it more than any current king or queen but thanks for the MOD I become a king even doe its not part of skyrim.

Dawnguard : Very Confusing Map and the mission is really hard unlike the normal Skyrim. More Challenging and has a better story line than the main one

Hearthfire : Don't have heathfire yet but I'll be having that *SOON*

My Rating : 9/10
Why 9/10 Gameplay Killed this one just bug issues.

Hello there,

Thank you for this great game review! I read it with a lot of pleasure and I could imagine everything you said.
Sounds like a great game! But the reason I never bought it, is because I fear that I won't have any more spare time after buying it, if you know what I mean.

But thanks for the beautiful review; I'll consider the game for later!

Wow ! Thanks !!

Actually this game kills my time, If I'm not mistaken I've played this game for 2 months (STRAIGHT)

No resting days everyday I played this game for 12 - 16 hours LMAO if I had a class maybe less than 6 hours

the map is so big and some of the mission takes 30 - 60 minutes to finish or more.

I don't recommend to play this game with heart cause I myself wasn't been able to focus at studying even my life outside is gone

my friends calling me a caveman LMAO cause I stayed in my room for 2 months except going to school.

Hello,

Haha, reminds me of my "Assassin's Creed" marathon a month or two ago.
I completed Brotherhood and Revelations in literally just a few days.
Now waiting for Assassin's Creed III. Have the Freedom Edition pre-ordered.

Great review and I can only agree on what you're saying. I've only just started to play Skyrim though (yes, I finally can Very Happy Hammertime ) because I just got it for my birthday a few days ago and besides, I'm playing it on xbox because my pc just simply lacks everything but space on the HD lol!

What I love about the game is that it is familiar, and yet it is new. I've been playing Elder Scrolls ever since I got Morrowind 10 years ago. Obviously some things have changed since the oblivion crisis, but who wouldn't expect change to happen in 200 years. So many things are familiar though, the other day I was just starting a quest and it turned out that the character I was dealing with reminded me of Sheogorath when I met him and soon I found out that it was indeed Sheogorath.

I could definitely play for 12-16 hours a day, if I didn't have kids to take care of and a household to run.

I love Skyrim, After playing the torrent for a day (try before you buy) I went out and bought it! I haven't tried Dawnguard yet, but knowing Bethesda, it's full of bugs and will be fore a few months (it's not worth me spending £14.99 on a game to make dragons fly backwards, or me falling through an invisible hole in the ground and crashing the game).

I didn't really notice many bugs (on xbox) myself. I found one location where the water doesn't show up properly and in some places the rocks look funny if you come close. Probably places you're not supposed to get close to anyway. But I didn't see any gameplay glitches so far and I think I have had ample time and opportunuty to find them.

Shouldn't be too hard, you might have a better chance on PC or PS3 though.

Dat gangnam style...

Anyway I kinda disagree, towns are for Jarls and Kings, not Dragonborn.
Your business is dragonslaying, daedra-mugging, bandit killing and working on the forge hours spamming iron nails for raising blacksmithing.

Just sayin' Wink

Also bugs are for us, hardcore gamers to notice.
Others just won't see it.

Its most noticable on the PC though.

It's not an MMORPG - MMORPG means "Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game" and none of the Elder Scrolls games are online at all (and they're not multiplayer for PC - might be for consoles, I seem to recall something about it but don't remember what exactly). World of Warcraft, Rift, Aion, etc are MMORPGs. Some say Fable III is an MMORPG also, but it's not.

Anyhow. I loved Oblivion, but I burnt out extremely quickly with Skyrim. I think I played it about a week. I probably would've played it more if Bethesda wasn't doing like the creators of COD/[insert other FPS games here] are doing and just adding new scenarios and not really doing anything with the game-play itself. Think about it. If you replace the textures you've got Oblivion ... with new voice actors (in some but not all cases) and new quest text. Nothing else changed at all. A few new classes (stock - not added in by mods) or spells (again, stock) or something to spice it up a bit would've been really nice.

It's not that there weren't any glitches I mean, it is kind of odd to see 2 swords suspended in mid air where I fought a bandit not too long ago, or a wolf that ends up butt up, stuck in the terrain after killing it, but nothing game breaking.

I believe they're working on an online game to be released this year. But I don't think there has ever been an online Elder Scrolls game in the past.
While I love Skyrim, it's nothing like Oblivion or MorrowinD. Both previous titles seem to have had many more and longer questlines and options for more kinds of players. I was, for example, a little bummed out by the "Imperials" questline and got bored after liberating hold x y and z and let it rest because I was done lying siege. What I would love is "MorrowinD revisited". I want the exact same game, but with today's graphics, AI system etc. Now that would be a game with a capital G, A, M en E. It took me many years of playing hours a day to get to know Vvardenfell and I wouldn't be surprised if I still haven't completed every questline available. To me it felt like Oblivion is already smaller in that respect than MorrowinD is, and Skyrim is even smaller than that. I finished the main quest in the first week I had the game. I usually play every evening after the kids go to bed, 2+ hours a day. I didn't use the fast travel system and went everywhere by foot.

No? What about quests that never trigger? NPC's that die or disappear for no apparent reason? Save game corruption? Objects falling in the void due to poor collision detection? Quest objectives that refuse to complete? Esbern's missing voice that still hasn't been fixed although Betty insists on taking down all the fixes that fans make? Dragons that keep flying away or bugging out when "killed"? Etc?

Yeah hardly game breaking at all *cough*.

Apart from the quest bugs, which Betty has no excuse for not fixing (or for allowing in the first place, Skyrim feels like it was tested by five year olds.), the others are manageable... sort of... but what's really irritating is the amount of effort Betty puts into fixing them (hint: NONE).

While I appreciate the sarcasm, I'm telling you, I've had none of that happen at all and I've been playing almost daily for 2-3 hours a day since I got the game 4 months ago.
The only quest I had that was broken was when I found Leifnarr's body before I had ever spoken to Grosta. The option to talk about it to her didn't come up. In fact, I couldn't have a conversation with her at all.
One quest that didn't complete was when I was trying a new character and decided to get the amulet of Talos from Roggvir before talking to Svari to save time and the quest remained stuck in the quest journal.
The only time a dragon was apparently bugged, was when Milmurnir was killed, the skeleton disappeared after a while, but a few in game days later the dragon's body was back as a complete body that was just laying there.
I have not missed any NPC's and when they did die, it was apparent why. Obviously a quest breaks when an NPC involved in said quest dies, like when Filnjar in Shor's Stone was killed during a dragon attack. Which is unfortunate, but much more realistic than the essential NPC's that could only go unconscious.

Perhaps the game really does work better on xbox. And here I was hating the fact that I couldn't run the game on my pc. I wouldn't be surprised if there's going to be an unofficial Skyrim patch, just like there was for Oblivion.
