This totally fixed my mangled, broken game. I thought EA was dead to me until I discovered this crack.
Also, I was able to get the crack to work (it disabled the registration pop-up which appears after you have already finished installing the game and go to play it) without installing any of the expansions you said were required, but I'm going to install those later, anyways. All I have installed as of now is Ambitions and, of course, the base game.

THANK YOU once again, you are a Sims-Guru. ..... (no intended allusion to any existing sims forums or whatever... because I think there may be one called simsguru....)

if this fix is just to aid in updating patches.. there is a much easier solution. There is a game mod from twallan(Nraas industries) that allows for noCD, with this mod you do not need to use cracked files.
you DO however.. need to have your game set up to run mods. wich is simple itself just need to have a mods folder in the documents sims3 directory.. and in that a package folder.. and a certain resource.cfg file.
Since I cant post links yet.. when you go to download twallas mod there is a link to the place you can get the framework stuff. ( framwork being the mods folder.. package folder.. and resource file)
with this.. since your not using cracked .exe or dll files... when you go to patch.. it should patch fine. without all the trouble. It works for me.

Because of the awesomeness of games4theworld, I think I might owe you my first born, left kidney and possibly my right boob.... i have torrented your games on SEVERAL different machines ...slow install but clean and tidy and this ultimate fix works everytime on both mac and pc...however instead of my first born I have decided I will become active on the forum and contribute back to this VERY fine fine establishment.... in laymen's terms, you F'ing rock... and thank you bunches for maintaining and keeping level when people like me get confused and ask silly questions or staying calm when people ignore the rules:) ^_^ i <3 admin.
