Problem with starting? [SOLVED]

Post by Erela93 on Mon 05 Nov 2012, 06:54

Hi there guys.

Okay so lately I've been having multiple issues, but it finally got the best of me and I just re-installed everything. Now I have a new problem. The game loads perfectly, I can choose my town and it loads. I can make a family or choose one, but as soon as I get to start playing, the game crashes within the first 5 minutes and I just got sims back from a week of trying to fix issues. What can I do to fix this so I can play? Sad

Expansions Installed:
(NOT EP) Base
Pets
Generations

If someone could please help I'd greatly appreciate it. Very Happy

What error are you getting when it crashes?

The only error I get is
'The sims 3 is not responding..blah blah blah windows will notify you if it finds a problem.'
It's sadly the normal one.

Thanks Lady ElDi, but that did nothing. I am still crashing right after it loads my family in live mode and I don't know why. I have a few questions as well:
Do I need to be updated to 1.42, and if so how?
Do I need the ultimate fix, if so how?

I hope someone could even answer those, if they may be the problem or not I'm not sure. I have some mods/cc but none that would do this to the game, because they never have before.

EDIT// Well..I did the DEP thing, and restarted my computer. It normally crashes right after I click the family..but I hit 'choose household' and so far it hasn't crashed..I think that fixed it! Very Happy
