Im taking the twins ( both of them, Jacob and Caleb ) because my ex wants them to see the world, and im also taking Caroline Valerie's 5 year old daughter. so im wondering. is it a nice place? my boss said he'll let me go for 12 day but them i have to come back.

Hello,

I guess it depends on where you want to go. Fortunately The Netherlands is small, so even if your mother doesn't live in one of the nicer provinces, it won't take you more than a couple of hours to get to the other side of the country (by car).
If you don't mind me asking, whereabouts would you go?

Hello,

Oh, well the island is going to be very nice. South Holland is meh. I guess it depends where exactly you're going. And what you expect to find. I live in that province myself, lived in Rotterdam for a couple of years. I moved away from the city about a year ago though, it wasn't quiet enough for me. Especially not for raising children.

I myself live in Amsterdam, and the city itself is really busy and crowded. But the outer parts are very "village" like.

And of course Amsterdam is a big part of tourism, and multicultural living, so loads of tourists and immigrants decide to visit or live here.
Some people like it and some don't. I really couldn't care less as long as i can just get myself a house. Which is pretty hard.

Seeing as you're 21 like myself, and if you're going to live here, and look for a job, you should have some diploma's or certificates already. Jobs are really hard to get nowadays. And it's starting to get worse by time.

Of course Amsterdam is a must-see location for a tourist, especially if you're not sure you'll ever have the chance again. I've only been there a few times myself and only once to see the sights. I was quite astonished myself lol. But that was before I had lived in Rotterdam.

Hi there,

Amsterdam shouldn't be your first choice when looking for a house to actually live in. The streets are overcrowded and house prices are very high.
Den-Haag (The Hague) is pretty much the same as Amsterdam: high house prices, since it's close to the beach. Small roads and stuff.
Rotterdam and its surroundings are a nice place to start with, I guess: modern, open etc.

Apart from the shootings lol. I guess it depends on where you go, but buying or renting in the better neighbourhoods is also not cheap.
If you prefer city life, I guess it's not so bad but I'd go for a smaller city like Dordrecht. Though a large town has many of the benefits of a city (shops, jobs, public transport) but not as many downsides (not as much crime, no bad neighbourhoods, streets are cleaner). The only thing I really had to get used to when I moved out of the city was that shops here are closed on Sundays.

Don't forget Eindhoven. That's a wonderful city with lots of shopping, entertainment and good restaurants.
