Expansion installion issue with online bought base game. [SOLVED]

Post by MissAlyssia on Tue 13 Nov 2012, 02:08

Hi, I bought the base game on Steam a while back I just downloaded the pets expansion and when I start the install it doesn't recognize that I have the base game. The exact message reads "This product requires an installed copy of The Sims 3. Please install The Sims 3 before installing this product." Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks :3

For some reason the Steam version doesn't work with other kinds of installations of The Sims 3.

Two options, download from here or via Origin.

Origin Download.

* I have no idea if above work, I would guess, since it a was a answer to the topic creator there, and the topic creator replied that they were trying it.
