Seasons - my other expansions were iso-files --> PROBLEM?[SOLVED]

Post by krinelin on Fri 16 Nov 2012, 13:33

Hey you guys!

Just a quick question;

I have just installed Seasons, but I'm a bit scared to copy over the cracked content to the sims 3 game bin, since it can be hard to get back if something goes wrong. all my other expansions were iso-files, and worked perfectly - will they still work even it I copy over the cracked content? I would rather not go through all the trouble of reinstalling everything :-S

Thanks!!

//EDIT

Never mind, I made a copy of the original files just in case, and tried copying over the content. worked fine!!

I haven't installed seasons yet because I am afraid it will make my game start crashing or having some random problem.

Thank you for posting your update. Smile I am still not sure about installing it, but this helped. I have had to fix so many problems with this by searching for hours on google that I am really paranoid to do anything with it.

Will you update if anything goes wrong with your game? I have spent a really long time working on my saves/world and just didn't want to have to install everything again, because it takes all day to install. >.<

Hello,

There's no need to worry about the original files, they are included in the ultimate fix, and even then, you don't need the original files if you simply use the manual patch.

Following these instructions, you will always be able to install an expansion without a hitch.
And as long as you backup your saves and update your mods, hardly anything can go wrong.

And if you run into problems, never hesitate to open a new topic.
Anyway, since this particular problem is fixed, we'll call it solved.
Happy simming The Sims Plumbob 1 topic closed.
