Can't name sims in CAS.[SOLVED]

Post by TCA on Sun 18 Nov 2012, 07:55

Okay this is the first problem i've encountered after installing seasons...When going into CAS it will not let me give any sim created a name. At first I thought it was due to W8 so I went back to Windows 7 (fresh install). Which I also updated my game to the current patch as well. Any idea what could cause this to actually happen? Didn't do this with Supernatural, just Seasons. Plus do you think it could have been caused by the store update? Anyways. I'm going to try removing all of my store content and cc and mods, hope fully that will clear the issue up. Well any input would be awesome! Thanks

EDIT: But it will let me give them a name when accepting a sim to be used...hope 1.42 hasn't broken anything, since the patch for it did come out before Seasons hit shelves.

Well I tested NRAAS stuff and my custom content 1 by 1 and it wasn't any of those that was doing it. I believe it was Anach's CASpanel6x4mod which was the only one I did not put back in the mods folder.

Hello,

Just to be sure, try backing up and removing this folder completely, please: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\

Sorry, late reply...

Yeah I made sure i did that. Glad I can give them names now, even though I haven't played yet. Been trying to find a good patch for Bins by 1UPIndustries and getting all my music back, cos I didn't realize some of it was still in the windows.old folder. Plus, looking for a root method for Cliq 2 with official Gingerbread.

Late reply chilled with my buddy and played xbox all weekend. Well I finally got around to having the game up for more then 10 minutes. Had to create my 2 sims which took a good while. Everything seems to be working 100% although, in CAS it magically change Chloe's shirt! then all the shoes wasn't showing lol. Everything is fixed now since then. I just need to get the other towns.

Music is just about completed, Need to get 5 more movie scores and the Absolute Dance ripped back on here then I'm done! Thank you G4TW!
