Regional error on Sims 3. [SOLVED]

I own the Sims 3 base game and I also downloaded it and either way when I try to download World Adventures is comes up with "This product requires the Sims 3 to have the same regional code in order to be installed." I have tried with your version and the purchased version and I get the same results. Did I do something wrong?
Any help is great Thnx

Hello,

You can just install your legal version of The Sims 3. (Recommended)
You get this error, because you missed a step in the "# Installation Guide.txt". Please read step 2 of the Installation Guide again:

2. Now open the Start menu. Type 'regedit' in the search box and press [ENTER]. Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sims\The Sims 3  and double-click on 'SKU'. Change the shown
number to 2 and press 'OK'. Close the Register Editor.

Ps. If you can't find that path in the registry, it's here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Sims > The Sims 3
