We'll reply as soon as one of us that sees it can help. So if you're patient, we'll help..

Did you download this game, or is it a legit copy? If it's downloaded, who was the uploader?

Hello,

Sorry for the late reply, we've all been rather busy with the holidays and all.
This error is typically caused by not extracting the file properly.

I'm sorry, and I got the game from you guys. I have removed the rar file from my pc so I was wondering if there's a way to fix it without downloading the game again?

Hello,

I'm afraid not.
We never recommend removing the rar file just in case something like this happens. There can be many reasons you may have to reinstall in the future as well, and the extracted files can become corrupted. And you can't seed if you don't keep the rar Wink
If it's space you worry about, it's always safe to delete extracted files after you install.
See if you can recover it from your recycle bin or an "undelete" function from a disk cleaning software. If you can't, there's no other way but to redownload it.

I see, well that's tragic. I think I'm gonna download it again, thank you so much for replying. Wait, one more thing, would you recommend if I'll just burn the extracted file into DVD so if in case I needed it, it'll be just there, plus it wont consume much space.

Hello,

No if you want to do that, it's better to burn the rar to DVD, not the extracted file.

Hello,

Then it'll be burnt as a "data" disc.
If you want to make it bootable, extract the .rar file and then burn the extracted files on a disc.

I disagree. Putting the rar on disk is just going to be more work if you ever need to use it. When burning the extracted files you would just need to double click the Setup.exe to get to installing, or in many cases (depending on the disc, and whether or not you have auto-run turned off) just putting it in the drive would launch setup [or whatever file is pointed at by the Autorun.inf]. Not only that, but if the rar is corrupted for some reason (improperly burnt, scratched, etc) you're screwed, where as it's not very often that every file on a disc is corrupted which translates to less of a chance of something important being corrupted (lets face it, not all files on an installation disc are needed for an install). The disk doesn't need to be bootable - it only needs to be bootable if you need to boot from it, such as an Operating System's installation disc - I'm pretty sure he didn't mean that lol. I think he meant the auto-run functionality.

Hello,

I'd never burn the extracted files to disk, for the simple reason that I've had extracted files go wacky after copying them from one drive to another, I had to redownload the rar when I had to reinstall the game because the files I had simply would not work. That happened with 2 sets of extracted files, one of which had to be redownloaded (as it turned out, I still had the other rar in a different location), so I guess it's a matter of personal preference then.

Hi there,

But if you burn them, they can't be modified any more.
I know what you mean with "go wacky", but that's not the case if burnt correctly.
