Downloading Error/tslhost.dll

Post by SilentGamer on Thu 24 Jan 2013, 03:59

Okay so here is the problems. I'm not new to this. I've been downloading these for a year or two now. However now I have a new laptop (Windows 8 ) and wanted to download the Sims 3 to it . Everything was going well so far. I downloaded Sims 3 base, Ambitions,Generations,Late night, Master stuff, pets, seasons, showtime, and supernatural.(Before applying the ultimate fix and update. I did everything the post said) Now, here is the catch...The only expansions showing on the launcher are everything but, supernatural and seasons. I'm sure I did the ultimate fix right. I actually done it repeatedly. I even uninstalled everything in the Master, pets, season, showtime, supernatural folder (In the ultimate fix.zip) The only conclusion I could think of was that it wasn't recognizing the expansions because of the tslhost.dll file (In base game file in Ultimate fix ). Every single time I tried to copy and overwrite the file my Norton kept telling me it was deleting it and that it was a threat. I thought maybe it was corrupted from something I did and decided to re download the ultimate fix again. I did several times and it still told me the same thing. So I need your help I'm all out of answers and solutions?

I would say test out hexorcist's Registry Helper and see if that helps, since if the expansion isn't showing up is something related to the game not seeing it as installed.

Disable Norton before copying the files, or set an exception .. or my recommendation: get rid of Norton - it's a POS.
